So how does this work? It’s simple, all you have to do is:
1. Find It
If you know or a friend knows of an empty home somewhere, all you have to do is note the address or location, or take a picture of the property. Try to get as much information as you can about the home such as last known owner, if they’re living or deceased and how long it has been been vacant. The more information we have about a property, the easier it is to track down who owns it and find out why it has been abandoned.
2. Log it
The next step is to log the information you have gathered. You can do this by filling out this form, with as much information as you can. You can also log properties through our Whats App number xxxxxxxxx which makes it easy to send photographs. Once we receive details through our website or Whats App we will immediately get to work on trying to find out why the property is abandoned and how we can get it back into use.
3. Tag it
You can tag us with photos and information on empty properties on Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #emptyhomes too. This will also encourage others to share their knowledge of empty homes.
